Building Blocks
It takes seeing bricks getting laid to learn how to lay bricks.

My writing journey started with a small poetry booklet that my mother would read every night, mostly because I asked. Then, during my adolescence, I used writing as a means to express my anger, pain and refuge, a small notebook of wrath and sorrow, but it took a teacher explaining to me what and why I was writing, so I could, with his help, get to consciously make it powerful.
The first time I heard about TTRPG was from my brother, he talked about playing a bit of Tormenta RPG (d20 based system) and how he wished he could've played more. How does it work? I asked. It's like a book, but you make the stories with your friends. He said.
Still took me years to put the two together. Actually, it took two of the most influential people on Brazilian internet. Jovem Nerd and Azaghal did a special episode of their podcast, Nerdcast RPG. It brought TTRPG to a broader audience, since I was too young to experience its heyday on the country. Their influence is similar to Critical Role, exposing this old niche hobby to a new audience. Anyway, it finally clicked, the last piece I needed to Tetris.
As much as I love writing short stories, they are and always will be my home, nothing made me happier than being able to write for my friends. It wasn't small anymore, it became big. I might never sell a book, captivate an audience or change someone way of thinking with my writing, but I can laugh and cry and see the smile on my friends faces.
Tabletop role-playing justified my writing.
Those were some of the bricks laid on my little house. I'm new to tabletop gaming, new to role-playing and new to writing (above all in English). Right now I'm trying my hand on design and, well, blogging. And since this is my first post I thought I should explain a bit about myself, things are going to get out of hand soon (so many ideas).
Before I get sidetracked I'm gonna put an end to this. Hopefully I can find the blocks I need to make this blog thing work. Thank you for reading and see you soon, next time with better content and, maybe, better writing.
